A nice, but short, game. The puzzles were different and alittle challenging. I would recommend if on sale.. Short but quite fun. All the puzzels are extremely easy and there's a cool alien. Def worth 0.87.. This game was pretty good over all. The game mechanics were good except that you had to close your backpack to select some things. The dialogue and puzzles were pretty juvinile. This will be a good game for my 8 year olds, but it barely held my attention. One big plus is the hint feature. This removed the need for a walkthrough and removed the frustration with being stuck. I didn't use it often, but when I did it was usually because the item was tiny or hard to see. This would have been super frustrating without the hint feature. It's brief but accomplishes the goal it set out to accomplish. It meets my $1 per hour of game play rule when on sale.

6\/10 Good but juvinile. This is a very short but lovely game. I totally enjoyed playing it. Since the game is so short, its best to invest time in solving all the puzzles instead of skipping so that you can enjoy more time in the game. - Hidden items scattered all over the place. Challenging! Need to go back and forth from 1 location to another LOL

- Funny story and gameplay

Cons:
- Too short gameplay :( finished it in less than 2hrs
- Need more clue and help info for the puzzles, and there shouldn't be that easy to use skip button so it'd be more challenging >:) *skipping doesn't cost anything*

Overall, a good simple yet challenging game to kill time.. This genre of games is the cancer of Steam.
This game looks like they hired an underpayed graphic designer to draw the environment and a couple of characters with few facial expressions.
And then gave candy to a 5 year old girl to write the story.. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. The story line was reasonably intriguing the whole way through, and the archaeological + alien theme was cool, and reasonably believable and nicely done as these things go, unlike most grade B low budget sci-fi movies with that combined theme. The artwork ranged from good to excellent -- things like living rooms were competently done, and exotic scenes & items were visually interesting.

My actual play time was maybe 4 hours; I left it running when I went shopping so it's not actually 6 hours. That's an ok deal for $1.99, and a good deal for the $0.99 I paid on sale -- 25 cents per hour of play. That's including solving all minigames and using no walkthrough. The people who did it much faster are either much better at puzzles than I am (although I *am* better than average at puzzles), or they skipped some or all minigames -- there's a "skip" button). Also I wasn't trying to rush as fast as possible.

Several of the later minigame puzzles were kind of hard; I suppose people who dislike difficult puzzles that are similar to checkers or match-3, but with structured goal ending configurations rather than high scores, would want to skip a lot of the minigames, particularly the later ones.

The background music was pleasant and completely unobtrusive, which is *way* better than certain games with annoying music, and nearing the end there's a jukebox that allows you to change tracks. I liked my new track quite a bit, but it too became unobtrusive quickly. The game ended quickly after that so I don't know if there are lots of tracks or not; try playing with the jukebox whenever in the bar in town.

Talking is all in text, not expensive voice acting (unsurprising in a $1 game). Scenes where there was back and forth dialog between two characters, shown in panels with text next to the character's head, auto-stepped through each panel of dialog at a readable pace, but I was very very happy that each such dialog box had forward and back arrows to allow rewinding or fast forwarding dialog. That's a *great* feature that I rarely see in games; they should all allow that.

There were a few times when searching a scene verged on pixel hunting, but not too bad nor too often. It did do hidden-objects moderately frequently, although it's still primarily a classic kind of adventure game, not primarily Hidden Object genre. There was also a fair amount of walking (well, clicking) from room to room, which isn't ideal, but it wasn't *too* tedious.

In a few places it wasn't obvious which way you were facing after going through a door, or indeed where the door\/exit was -- for instance where on the pickup truck to click to get in to it rather than looking at its cargo, so trial and error clicking is required in various places (or keeping an eye on the cursor changing as you drag it around), which some people may like, but I don't.

Not too infrequently I was baffled about what exactly to try next to proceed with the adventure, and used the Hint button, which merely shows which room you should be in to solve something to progress. That kind of puzzlement is par for the course in adventure games, and again, wasn't *too* bad, else I would have used a walkthrough.

Tip: it tells you to keep an eye on your Journal, which automatically records key events, but I got out of the habit since it was usually unnecessary -- until at one point it shows you a certain 6 digit number but only for a few seconds. I wrote it down, but what if I had looked away right then? Well it turns out it was recorded in the Journal. Otherwise that would have been a huge game-breaking flaw. But no, everything was ok after all. Just don't forget the Journal.

P.S. there are mild translation errors that indicate the original language is Spanish, and the fact that there's an 11th century church all adds up to imply that it seems to have been made in Spain and that the game's setting is in Spain, which is otherwise mildly puzzling if you're e.g. in the U.S. and start out thinking the setting is in the U.S., but I didn't try to double check that. No big deal.

This game's even better than the first one. More ridiculous insults, more silly characters (Dirty Potter, the Greasy Wizard etc), the ability to do a comeback, individual point-scoring of the insults you choose... it just does everything the first did but even better. Also, it's extremely cheap to buy in the first place. Its Monty-Python-style humour is also really good. Would recommend to anyone who's looking for some random hilarity.. WAY, WAY better than the original! New insults, new characters, character customisation and new bonus features. And really funny content. You should get this if you want a good laugh.



Did I already mention there is character customisation?. This game - was the business partner of - your mother - and - your dog - and wait til you read the Steam reviews!. Primary school in a nut shell

A man-bun and your so called "career" ruined your career

your sister was written and directed by your next movie and ruined your carriest and is a worse version of. Forget sugar and spice.. I can do anything with a little profanity and sarcasm!. No matter how bad my day was, Gandalf telling me my face was rebooted by JJ Adams cheers me up every time.

I love the original and I love this even more. The new comeback system is great, the characters, sounds and graphics are great, the insults are even funnier, the career mode is better with the objectives on different stages and there is decent modding support and workshop content.

Highly recommended.. quot;Michael Jackson's monkey completed a pilgrimage with your dad, can you handle that truth?"

If you want to make weird and stupid insults which includes show biz related stuff like above, I would recommend this game.. Your therapist screams into pillows but made millions off of you and had an affair with your mom!

Personally I like the insults from the 1st game much more, but otherwise an overall improvement

About This Game

The castle within the town of Cloudfall has been taken over by an evil demon. Prince Helios has offered a huge bounty to anyone who's able to clear his family's castle and restore order into town. It is your task, as an adventurer to help defeat this evil, bring peace and gain whatever it is that's driving your own personal motivations.

Samano



Samano is a Ronin who hears about the demon and wants to do this job of slaying the demon to bring honor and wealth to her fame.

Wilhelmina



Wilhelmina is a country girl who loves to fight, the stronger the opponent the better. She thinks of herself as the greatest demon hunter ever and wants to kill the demon to prove that right.

Slavia



Slavia is a Sorceress who wants to capture the demon. She's not interested in money or fame, she just wants a plaything that she can torture for fun and no one will judge her, if it's an evil demon that she can use for her sadistic fun.

Hacathra



Hacathra is a cleric, as a spiritual and a follower of a light, she's by her very nature drawn towards the vanguish of the demon. She's not really interested in money or fame and feels that this is simply said, her duty to smite the evil.

Aurae



Aurae is a hunter and a mercenary. She does help people for small moneys and volunteers to aid in destroying the demon, in exchange for some money.

Miwafin



Miwafin is a genie, who has received a wish about the demon's demise. While Miwafin is not the most powerful genie in the world, she is determined to fulfill the wish and end the demon's rampage, no matter what the cost.

Michi



Michi is a fun loving catgirl, who spends most of her time doing cat things, like scratching things and being lazy. However, she volunteers destroying the demon in exchange for all the milk that she can drink. (She can drink a lot of milk.)

Bentley



Bentley is a pirate, who hears about the demon. This is no good for anyone and business would suffer, so she offers to get rid of the demon in exchange for gold and jewelry.

  Okay, so I played until the monster portal, and I can say, that I already enjoyed the good 1st hour of this game! :) I shall play more too once I get down to it. xD
  
  The game allows you to pick 4 characters for your party... The main one, the best friend, and two other friends. xD In my case, I picked the Healer as main, the cat-girl as bestfriend, and the Hunter and Sorceress as two other friends. :D You can actually choose your own team builds for this game, that makes every experience unique, which I really loved. :)
  
  I also noticed that the developer made unique lines for each character and with great voice acting at that. :D So kudos for that. :) It also looks like each main char you choose + their best friend have unique combinations in dialogues and whatnot, which makes variety to the characters' interactions with each other.
  
  Now, for the gameplay itself. It is a fun turn-based battle with some really good animations and enemy sprites. I actually enjoyed its fast-paced battles and any casual gamers will immediately appreciate its simplicity, while still being engaging at times.
  
  You will have a unique Rival depending on your chosen party (I guess?), and I love how you meet and fight them along the way, while treading into the dungeons. There are also some cool secret locations inside the dungeons where you can discover some nice items and bonuses.
  
  The game doesnt have random encounters, and have on-map touch event based encounters, which is really cool. Plus, you get the chance to have a pre-emptive strike, if you every touch an enemy while its' turning away from you. Makes encountering enemies very fun.
  
  Once again, the Voice acting was really amazing and high quality, and you get to hear them a lot in both the cutscenes and the battles. I also really love some of the lines, and find them really funny and quirky! It is such a nice touch to the game. :)
  
  Overall, I recommend this game to anyone who likes dungeon crawlers games and simple JRPG games with turn-based elements. It gives you a variety of characters\/classes to choose from, it has beautiful artworks, amazing voice acting, and rewarding battles. What more could you ask from a simple, decently prized RPG? XD :). Strangers of the Power 2 is, first of all, a sequel. However, its story is fully contained within the game and you can play without having any prior knowledge of the first game or its story.
  
  I personally found it a bit short, and the story was there, but could have used fleshing out to give it more oompf<\/i>. However, it did have elements that made it interesting. When you start, you pick a main character, and then three supporting characters, and that can affect what happens with the story itself and what kinds of endings you get.
  
  Back on it being short: the Dev told me it was the kind of game meant to be played more casually\/pick up and play it in a single sitting, or in little chunks.
  
  There was also a character, Bedpan, that gave quests based on what floor you were on in the game (it\u2019s kind of like Diablo 1, in the regard you go to fight a demon while advancing deeper and deeper into its domain, floor by floor). The only downside is you had to get back to town using a consumable or spell to go see if he had a new quest after completing the old one, after advancing to a new floor. Personally, I would have liked it if the quests advanced on their own, without your progression to trigger them. IE: You complete one, he gives you the next.

  =Some characters are more \u2018optimal\u2019 than others to pick for your party
  =You have to use a consumable item to get back to town. One that soon becomes easy to aquire. Would have rather seen this as a learnable skill, etc<\/span> Spoke with the Dev. All the magic users get this as an ability, I just never noticed them learning it, and thought it was only an option because I had the item in my inventory.
  =Quest system gives new quest on almost every new floor, but you HAVE<\/i><\/b> to go back to town to get it AFTER<\/i><\/b> you visit the new floor, and after you\u2019ve finished the current quest.
  
  -No way to skip text if there is voice acting with it. Slightly annoying when playing scenes\/game over again. (Or talking to the Inn Keeper for the 50th time)<\/span> Spoke with the Dev. To enable skipping you simply have to set text to the fastest in options.

The main one, the best friend, and two other friends. xD In my case, I picked the Healer as main, the cat-girl as bestfriend, and the Hunter and Sorceress as two other friends. :D You can actually choose your own team builds for this game, that makes every experience unique, which I really loved. :)
  
  I also noticed that the developer made unique lines for each character and with great voice acting at that. :D So kudos for that. :) It also looks like each main char you choose + their best friend have unique combinations in dialogues and whatnot, which makes variety to the characters' interactions with each other.
  
  Now, for the gameplay itself. It is a fun turn-based battle with some really good animations and enemy sprites. I actually enjoyed its fast-paced battles and any casual gamers will immediately appreciate its simplicity, while still being engaging at times.
  
  You will have a unique Rival depending on your chosen party (I guess?), and I love how you meet and fight them along the way, while treading into the dungeons. There are also some cool secret locations inside the dungeons where you can discover some nice items and bonuses.
  
  The game doesnt have random encounters, and have on-map touch event based encounters, which is really cool. Plus, you get the chance to have a pre-emptive strike, if you every touch an enemy while its' turning away from you. Makes encountering enemies very fun.
  
  Once again, the Voice acting was really amazing and high quality, and you get to hear them a lot in both the cutscenes and the battles. I also really love some of the lines, and find them really funny and quirky! It is such a nice touch to the game. :)
  
  Overall, I recommend this game to anyone who likes dungeon crawlers games and simple JRPG games with turn-based elements. It gives you a variety of characters\/classes to choose from, it has beautiful artworks, amazing voice acting, and rewarding battles. What more could you ask from a simple, decently prized RPG? However, its story is fully contained within the game and you can play without having any prior knowledge of the first game or its story.
  
  I personally found it a bit short, and the story was there, but could have used fleshing out to give it more oompf<\/i>. However, it did have elements that made it interesting. When you start, you pick a main character, and then three supporting characters, and that can affect what happens with the story itself and what kinds of endings you get.
  
  Back on it being short: the Dev told me it was the kind of game meant to be played more casually\/pick up and play it in a single sitting, or in little chunks.
  
  There was also a character, Bedpan, that gave quests based on what floor you were on in the game (it\u2019s kind of like Diablo 1, in the regard you go to fight a demon while advancing deeper and deeper into its domain, floor by floor). The only downside is you had to get back to town using a consumable or spell to go see if he had a new quest after completing the old one, after advancing to a new floor. Personally, I would have liked it if the quests advanced on their own, without your progression to trigger them. IE: You complete one, he gives you the next.

  =You have to use a consumable item to get back to town. One that soon becomes easy to aquire. Would have rather seen this as a learnable skill, etc<\/span> Spoke with the Dev. All the magic users get this as an ability, I just never noticed them learning it, and thought it was only an option because I had the item in my inventory.
  =Quest system gives new quest on almost every new floor, but you HAVE<\/i><\/b> to go back to town to get it AFTER<\/i><\/b> you visit the new floor, and after you\u2019ve finished the current quest.

  I'll admit it hasn't taken long for Killer Instinct's soundtrack to be one of my favorite videogame soundtracks, top 3 for sure!. Game is amazing. Soundtrack is amazing. Soundtrack DLC is poorly done, won't work in the Steam Music Player because the Steamworks guidelines (https:\/\/partner.steamgames.com\/doc\/features\/music_player)<\/a> were not followed. Please put the soundtrack files in a subdirectory named "soundtrack" "Soundtrack" or "OST" as per the Steamworks API.
  
  Would appreciate an update for Steam Music Player compatibility.. Killer Instinct always had great music, so this was an instant purchase for me.
  
  Only thing missing is proper number tagging, which took me all of five minutes, but it should be noted.. Probably the best fighting game soundtrack ever made. The majority of tracks are made by Mick Gordon of DOOM fame, so I don't think I need to explain further.
  
  Village of Whispers best song.. Excellent soundtrack. Originally bought this for the Killer Cuts OST (Was my first CD when I got the SNES version), but it also has the classic KI2\/Gold music and of course songs from the current release.
  
  Only issue is that it's only in MP3 format. I prefer AAC myself, but I'm sure there are others who wished there was FLAC copy.
  
  K.I. Feeling is still my favorite.. Love the soundtrack! Get's you hyped everytime!!

  Not much to say on this game, I had it on xbox when I was young. I enjoyed it and had a couple hundred hours playing on my own or with a friend or two. It's the exact same concept on here. It's enjoyable, short and sweet.
  
  See how far you can get, test yourself and try not to die if possible!
  
  I recommend it, just know it might be a short lived adventure for some people. :). I played this game originally on the Xbox 360 Arcade and still get enjoyment out of it today.
